Mr Basil Tagliangis AM was Chairman of the South Australian Multicultural and Ethnic Affairs Commission after being appointed to the Commission in 1984. He was a Member of the Ministerial Advisory Board on the Ageing and is Chairman of St. Basil's Homes for the Aged in SA and St George College Inc. He also holds appointments to a number of other boards and committees.
Mr Tagliangis brings a community perspective to the Board of The Cancer Council, with long community service in education, aged care, multicultural policies, health and welfare.
His experience and knowledge of Culturally and Linguistically Diverse communities is an added perspective to the work of the Board, as is his knowledge and experience within the property market.
