We recommend RACGP's Green book - Putting prevention into practice that outlines a number of practical activities to help general practice staff illness prevention.  These activities all apply to cancer prevention:
    promoting healthy lifestyles  
    reducing risky behaviours 
    screening 
    referral.

Skin cancer facts  
 Most cancers diagnosed in Australia each year are 
   skin cancers

 Skin cancers are mostly caused by over exposure to 
   UV radiation
.  
 Around 380,000 people are treated for skin cancer and 1,600 
   people die from the disease every year
 
 
Sun protection 
When the ultraviolet (UV) radiation level is 3 or higher, sun protection is needed:

     Shade  
     Clothing  
     Hat  
     Sunglasses  
     Sunscreen

   voice box, oesophagus, pancreas, stomach, kidney, bladder,

   blindness and a wide variety of other health problems
