Sun protective clothing at schools and early childhood centres

Sun protective clothing covers as much skin as possible – it includes shirts with collars and longer sleeves and trousers. Closely woven, darker clothing gives more protection.

Babies (under 12mths) should be kept out of the direct sunlight as much as
possible and always protected by shade, clothing and hats.

Make sure school uniform/dress code is sun protective - no midriff or singlet tops.

Wear a rash vest or close fitting T-shirt over bathers for outdoor swimming
      activities
.
