Sunscreen at school and early childhood centres

Sunscreen should always be used with other forms of sun protection, when going outside from the beginning of September until the end of April and whenever the UVR level is 3 and above outside of these times.

Use a SPF 30+ broad spectrum, water resistant sunscreen.

Apply it 15 – 20 minutes before going outside.

Reapply if necessary every 2 hours (or sooner if involved in water activities).

Make sunscreen available in various locations.

Do not use sunscreen during May to August when the UV is below 3.
