Tea Tree Gully

Tea Tree Gully Branch of Cancer Council South Australia

This branch was formed in June 1985 and is currently the only one in the metropolitan area.  We have 15 active volunteer members and our purpose is to raise funds for cancer research and education. Our role is fundraising and supporting the work of Cancer Council South Australia.

Some of our major fundraising functions have included - BBQ; fashion parades; cocktail evening; wine tasting; raffles; open gardens; and concerts.  We support Cancer Council’s fundraising functions - Australia’s Biggest Morning Tea; Daffodil Day; Relay for Life; Badge Day; Pink Ribbon Day and Girls Night In.  In 2007 this branch raised over $36,000.

This branch meets on the 4th Wednesday of each month from January to November at the Modbury Hospital at 7.30pm - 9pm.  Supper, provided by the members, follows the meeting.
