Bequests & Wills
Cancer Council SA
receives no direct Government funding; it depends on the generosity of donors
to maintain its activities. Remembering Cancer Council SA in your Will is truly
a gift for the future.
All bequests, large or small, contribute to South
Australian cancer control in three main areas:
Research
Innovation – Each year over $2 million is
dedicated to high quality cancer research based in South Australia.
LiveSmart – Aiming to improve community knowledge on how to prevent
cancer through healthy lifestyle and cancer screening.
LiveWell – Supporting people with cancer, their carers,
family and friends by delivering people-centred, accessible services. This
includes Cancer Council Helpline, free motel accommodation for country cancer
patients, transport, community based support groups, counselling, follow-up
care, website and multi-lingual resources.
Cancer
Council SA is able to help put you in contact with a solicitor in your area,
should you not have one already in mind. We are also able to subsidies the cost
of writing your will. All we need is for your solicitor to invoice us up to
$125 towards the cost of writing your Will when you include a bequest to Cancer
Council SA in your final wishes*.
To assist your solicitor in including Cancer Council
SA in your Will, please take along our Bequest
Clauses information sheet to ensure correct wording.
