Bowel cancer screening tests (faecal occult blood tests) Bowel cancer kills around 80 Australians each week but can usually be cured if detected early. This involves a simple test called an FOBT that can be done at home.
We encourage all South Australians who are aged over 50, and do not have symptoms or a family history of bowel cancer, to undertake bowel cancer screening every two years. There are a number of ways you can get a bowel cancer screening test kit, depending on your age. To find out your options, please enter your date of birth in the box below. This information applies only to SA residents. |
