Every day people from all walks of life donate their time, knowledge and energy to help Cancer Council SA support people affected by cancer. People like you make our vital work possible: it is through the time and care of ordinary people that we can do extraordinary things.
Cancer Council SA is always looking for people with various backgrounds, talents and skills. We take care to ensure your placement is of real benefit to the community and satisfying for you.
Throughout the year we offer a range of short and long-term roles, projects and activities that can match your skills, interests and availability. As a volunteer you will have the opportunity to:

Australia’s Biggest Morning Tea Volunteers

Join the fight to beat cancer in SA and volunteer to support our upcoming Australia’s Biggest Morning Tea event.
Volunteers are needed to participate in a number of activities during late March through to mid May 2013.
You will be involved in:- Welcome calls to registered hosts
- Sending email reminders to direct mail non-respondents
- Contacting schools to follow up their invitation to be registered as hosts
- Assisting with host kit arrival
- Banking reminders
- Data entry
- Processing host kit orders
- Gaining feedback from hosts after the event
Volunteers will be provided with:
- Scripted calls
- Information on the type of caller they will be calling
- if they will speaking with are a hot, warm or cold supporter, to ensure the appropriate conversation takes place
It's our 20th birthday, so join in the celebration and be a part of the Australia's Biggest Morning Tea community and help change lives.
