Cancer Council SA’s ability to work towards beating cancer everyday is only made possible by the extraordinary generosity of South Australians.
At Cancer Council SA we are committed to being open and transparent in our activities and our use of the community’s funds. We are pleased to be recognised as one of 10 finalists in the revenue $5m to $30m category in the 2012 PwC Transparency Awards for the quality and transparency of our reporting.
The Awards began through a collaboration between PwC Australia, the Institute of Chartered Accountants Australia (ICAA) and the Centre for Social Impact (CSI), to recognise and encourage improvement in the quality and transparency of reporting in the Australian Not-For-Profit sector.
“We are excited to be recognised as one of the most transparent and communicative not-for-profit organisations in the country,” says Professor Brenda Wilson, Chief Executive, Cancer Council SA.
“Transparency and communication is extremely important to us, as our donors have a right to know how their generosity is making a difference for South Australians with cancer.
“At Cancer Council SA we are inspired by the amazing support we receive from the community. It reinforces our commitment towards beating cancer every day through vital cancer research, prevention and support. Our donors have decided to invest in the fight against cancer, and we recognise how fortunate we are for their support.”
