Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people experience higher rates of cancer and are more likely to die from cancer than non-Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander people.
Cancer Council SA supports a Voice that gives the Traditional Owners of this Country a voice to be heard and considered, with the aspiration of informing decisions that reduce health disparities and improve the health and well-being of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people.
Cancer Council SA recognises that improved cancer outcomes are more likely to be achieved when Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people have a say in matters that affect them, and this aligns with our Strategy and purpose, which is to ‘reduce the rate and impact of cancer for all South Australians’.
