Adelaide Central Relay For Life - Volunteer Organising Team
- Marketing Byline
Cancer Council's Relay For Life is all about celebrating the courage of local people affected by cancer and spreading hope. It is a unique event where teams of up to 20 people challenge themselves to take turns to keep a baton moving in a relay style walking throughout the night to symbolise that cancer never sleeps.
Events are a hive of energy, colour and excitement, all powered by passionate members of the community. They are the Volunteer Organising Team and are ultimately responsible for making the event possible.
There are a variety of roles to suit all skills and personalities so really it's about finding one that you love, grabbing hold of it and making it your own. Opportunities like Event Lead, Media & Marketing, Catering, Team Recruitment and Development, Sponsorship and Fundraising, Volunteer Coordinator, Logistics plus more are all up for grabs. And an interest in Event Management would certainly come in handy!
We are looking for volunteers with a range of skills. An interest in event management would be ideal. Full training is provided. Applicants must be available the weekend of the event 23-24 February 2019.
The Volunteer Organising Team meet monthly to plan and organise the biennial event, and are fully supported by Cancer Council SA staff. If this sounds like something you would like to be involved in, please get in touch. We would LOVE to chat to you soon.
