    Dramatically altered gene regulation is a common driver of cancer and this work will study how two gene regulatory proteins influence cancer
    cell development. Following manipulation of these two proteins in cultured cells and in tumors xenografted onto animals, we will perform a
    number of molecular analyses to determine how the proteins are either advancing, or inhibiting, tumor growth. The information may highlight
    new opportunities for anti-cancer drug design.
