Adelaide Cancer Trials and Education Collaborative

The Adelaide Cancer Trials and Education Collaborative (ACTEC) is comprised of medical oncologists, haematologists, registrars, clinical trials staff and researchers in South Australia with a focus on improving cancer outcomes through clinical research, and dissemination of information through training and ongoing education programs for trainees.

The network was established in 2007 to promote Adelaide-based multicentre clinical trials. The group meets at Cancer Council SA bi-monthly to discuss multisite clinical trials in Oncology among all of the major metropolitan hospitals in Adelaide – both public and private.  This includes the facilitation and support of investigator initiated and sponsored trials. The meetings also act as a common forum for promoting clinical trials in uncommon cancers.
