Role:
Coordinator
Jason has over 16 years’ experience in vocational training, and spent six years working overseas as an ESL (English as a Second Language) teacher before deciding to call Adelaide home in 2008.
Before commencing his role with Cancer Council in August 2017, Jason spent two years working in Student Services at Tauondi Aboriginal College in Port Adelaide assisting Aboriginal students to achieve their career goals.
“Substantial health gaps exist between Indigenous and non-Indigenous Australians. Therefore, I’m excited to be able use my 16 years’ experience as a vocational trainer and, knowledge of the unique set of social determinants underpinning the wellbeing of Aboriginal people, to play a part in the reduction of smoking rates within Aboriginal communities.”
