This work has seen Syl have the opportunity, pleasure and honour to work with a variety of mob from inclusively diverse backgrounds such as Murri’s, some Torres Strait Islander mob, Koori’s, Nunga’s (both Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Organisation’s and government sectors).
For Syl, being a member of the Quitskills Team is all about connecting with a wide range of people and service providers.
“By embedding myself into the Quitskills team and course I can connect with appropriate persons for permission to safely enter communities, create best possible safe spaces to yarn and do business (Quitskills course delivery), create dialogue and listen to people to better understand their stories and the stories of the local communities in which we gather with and understand and respect the country we are gathered on.”
