Teri is driven to achieve an Australia free from the ongoing harm wrought by tobacco.
Teri has worked for many years with vulnerable and at-risk populations, and seen firsthand the terrible impact that smoking has on people who may already be doing it tough. Over time, Teri has committed to projects which remedy this issue of social injustice. Her work has involved mental health settings, at risk of homelessness and homeless people, prisoners, and young people. She has been employed in a number of health-related roles, including helping public hospitals in South Australia to go smoke free and assisting the Department of Correctional Services to reduce smoking rates in prison environments, After joining the Quitskills team in February 2017, Teri has enjoyed travelling with the team to many regions around Australia providing Quitskills training to ATSI Health and Allied Services across the sector.
Outside of Quitskills, Teri has been with Cancer Council SA for many years in a number of roles, including volunteering and project management.
