Hospital restocking volunteers | Visit various hospitals and treatment centres around Adelaide to restock information about Cancer Council services |
Morning tea and friendly visitors | Attend weekly morning teas held at Cancer Council Lodge Greenhill and Cancer Council Lodge Flinders, giving you the opportunity to assist, serve and have a friendly discussion with our guests |
Transport to Treatment Drivers | Provide transport assistance to our Cancer Council Lodge guests travelling from the Lodges to cancer treatment centres |
Warehouse volunteers | Assist in the assembly and packing of various resources to be used for upcoming campaigns and events |
Role overview
Cancer Council SA recognises that cancer can be overwhelming but finding the right information and support can often make a world of difference. We partner with three metropolitan hospitals to deliver Cancer Information Centres that connect visitors with information, through the support of caring volunteers who guide them to available information and support services.
You will provide in-person support to visitors of the centre and connect them with information, resources and services available through Cancer Council SA. You may provide this to people affected by cancer, survivors, carers or a family member.

Role overview
Cancer Council SA recognises that some people with cancer find talking to someone who has been through a similar experience both reassuring and encouraging.
You will provide a one-to-one telephone (only) support service to people affected by cancer, experiencing a cancer diagnosis, undertaking treatment or encountering survivorship issues. You may provide emotional support, practical information and reassurance to people affected by cancer, survivors, carers or a family member.
