Holiday accommodation
Cancer Council SA and Apex Foundation are in partnership providing free holiday accommodation for South Australian families experiencing the stress and demands which come with a cancer diagnosis.
What can we offer?
- Apex Retreat units are in the Wallaroo Holiday Park—a popular tourist and recreation area which is an easy two hour drive from Adelaide.
- Accommodation consists of five purpose-built holiday units. Three of the units have three bedrooms accommodating up to eight people. There are two smaller units that sleeps up to four people. Each unit contains a fully equipped kitchen, linen for all bedrooms and reverse cycle air conditioning. A cot and highchair are available on request.
- Free accommodation for one week is available for most of the year. It is not available during the Christmas period and for another two week period during the year due to a town event.
- Guests are required to bring their own food, personal items and beach towels.
Eligibility
- A South Australian resident impacted by cancer.
- Bookings are for a one-off holiday only.

If you have a client who you think would benefit, please have them call Cancer Council 13 11 20.
Please note that a fee of $50 is required to cover the cost of cleaning.
