Daffodil Day, on 21 August 2025, encourages all South Australians to help fund vital cancer research happening right here in South Australia. Every year we love seeing our wonderful community come together throughout August, to raise funds for the 11,000 South Australians diagnosed with cancer every year.
Here are five ways you can give this Daffodil Day:
1. Buy Daffodils
Brighten up your home or make someone smile by gifting a bunch of daffodils to friends, family or workmates. Don’t forget, all proceeds support cancer research.
You can purchase fresh daffodils at one of Cancer Council SA’s stalls during the week of Daffodil Day! Our volunteers will be out selling daffodils at locations across Adelaide and regional South Australia.
2. Pre-order daffodils online
If you can’t make it to a stall, you can pre-order bunches of daffodils and other merchandise online in the lead up to Daffodil Day to be delivered to locations in metro Adelaide. Check back in here to be the first to know when our online store goes live.
3. Volunteer
For all that cancer takes, give your time and volunteer this Daffodil Day. To find out more about the volunteer opportunities available contact volunteer@cancersa.org.au
4. Fundraise
Host a fundraiser or a wear yellow day at your workplace, school or with friends. Your fundraiser can be as big or as small as you like – the only limit is your creativity! Register your Daffodil Day fundraiser today.
You can also brave the cold this August and take part in the Daffodil Day Dip to raise funds for cancer research. Dip into the ocean, a lake, river, pool, or even a bath – just make it cold! Do it on 21 August for Daffodil Day or any day that suits you. You can dip once, twice, every weekend, or daily – it’s up to you!
5. Donate
There are 30 new cases of cancer diagnosed in South Australia every day. Make an online donation to Cancer Council’s Daffodil Day to fund life-saving cancer research.
