The Marilyn Jetty Swim first took to the seas in 2014, and, since then it has grown into an iconic annual event which to date has raised an incredible $820,000.
This year the event celebrated 9 years in the water and saw over 300 Marilyn’s dressed in their white swimsuits, blonde wigs, winged liner and red lippy.
Now, as the event celebrates an important milestone—10 fabulous years—founding Marilyn, Sarah Tinney, has plans to make a big splash at the upcoming event in February.
“For the 2023 event I want to make a real splash. It’s 10 years of taking to the seas as the 50s blonde bombshell that is Marilyn Monroe and raising funds for South Australians impacted by cancer—which is why I hope to see the Marilyn Jetty Swim fundraising total hit the million dollars raised mark. I know we can do it and I can’t wait to see the sisterhood come together to make it possible,” says founding Marilyn Sarah Tinney.
If dressing head to toe as 50s icon Marilyn Monroe and taking to the seas for a swim around Brighton Jetty to support South Australians impacted by cancer sparks your interest, there has never been a better time to join the sisterhood!
Registrations for the 2023 event on Sunday 5 February are open now, so head to the website to show your interest and get your name down for this milestone event.
