Harold “Bundamurra” Stewart is an Aboriginal elder, originally from La Perouse on Botany Bay. He is from the Yuin and Eora nations and has been living in SA for 42 years. Over the past 15 years, Harold has taken on a number of roles in tobacco smoking cessation.

As well as being a trained Quitline Counsellor, Harold co-founded the Aboriginal Quitskills course. He continues his work as an Educator, which saw him travel to over 80 communities from 2012–2014.

Further, Harold has published five research papers on smoking and cancer disparities in Aboriginal community, and is this year celebrating his own 25-year smoke free milestone.

“I enjoy meeting people and travelling around Australia with the Quitskills smoking cessation course.I want to help smokers to think about quitting and support them to start their journey to quitting.”
