Healthy Living after Cancer Program

Getting back to a healthy lifestyle after cancer is one of the most important things you can do for your health and wellbeing. The Healthy Living after Cancer Program can help you reach that goal.

What does the Healthy Living after Cancer Program involve?

Our program is evidence-based and can support you to make healthy lifestyle changes through a series of four in-person or online workshops. These sessions will be delivered by qualified health professionals and supported by phone coaching.

Over 12 weeks, we work with you to make healthy lifestyle changes by:

  • setting realistic goals for physical activity
  • healthy eating
  • enhancing emotional wellbeing
  • supporting recovery including ongoing side effects, returning to work and leisure activities, and sustaining long term health and lifestyle changes after cancer.

Our phone coaching helps you stay on track as you’re setting goals and making changes. You’ll never have to do it alone. We’ll connect you with peers, so you can discuss and share ideas for healthy living after cancer.

Who is this program for?

Our free Healthy Living after Cancer program is available to people who have completed active cancer treatment, or for people who have been diagnosed with certain types of cancer that require long-term treatment.

If you feel well enough to physically participate, you are welcome. A carer, partner or family member is welcome to attend with you.

*Participants must be over the age of 18.

Maria, Glenda, Suzy and Tosha (Program Coordinator)

We love hearing from our Healthy Living after Cancer participants about how the program impacted them.

Maria, Glenda and Suzy recently completed the program and provided us with the following feedback:

"One of the most important benefits that I gained from the program is being aware about what my body needs to recover, being patient and flexible with myself, allowing me to take time to rest or reflexionate about my own process." Maria

"The different issues covered have been so relevant to our cancer journeys now and going forward. I have gained a lot of information along the way from presenters and from those on the journey." Glenda

"The program covers a range of topics, and each one feels like discovering a new piece of the puzzle in my 'new normal'. Every session gives me another valuable tool to help rebuild my life with confidence and direction." Suzy
