Every story can make a difference. Sharing your cancer experience can help:
- raise awareness about important cancer issues
 - help others cope with treatment and feel less alone
 - give others the courage to talk about cancer and seek help
 - highlight the need for community fundraising events that enable Cancer Council SA to continue our important work.

How your story helps
Real stories are one of the most important resources we have for helping us raise awareness of the impact of cancer in the wider community; making sure people know how to get support; and building support for our fundraising campaigns to help us fund vital prevention, research and support.
Who can share?
We’re all in this together. Anyone and everyone can share. Whether you have cancer, you have a family member or friend that’s living with cancer, you want to share how you’re reducing your cancer risk, or how you’re supporting Cancer Council SA through fundraising or volunteering — your experience matters.
How your story is used
Every cancer story is unique and has something different to offer. We may use your story in full or use short quotes to support a larger story for our newsletters, social media posts, videos, fundraising campaigns and media interviews.
