First Nations Cancer Awareness Day Grants Program

Cancer Council SA is supporting Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Organisations to lead a First Nations Cancer Awareness Day in their own communities, with grants of up to $5,000 available.

Cancer Council SA is offering small grants of up to $5,000 to Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Organisations (ACCHOs) to host a First Nations Cancer Awareness Day in their community.

The aim of the initiative

✔ Increase cancer awareness and prevention
✔ Promote early detection and healthy lifestyles
✔ Support culturally safe health promotion

Who can apply?

Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Organisations in South Australia can apply.

Funding available

Up to $5,000 of funding is available per organisation for the First Nations Cancer Awareness Day Grants Program.

Key dates

Applications Open: 26 March 2026
Applications Close: 16 April 2026
Notification of Outcome: 23 April 2026
Event Delivery: 22 May 2026
