Cancer Connect

Our trusted 13 11 20 service is expanding and will become Cancer Connect later this year.

Cancer Connect brings together Cancer Council's qualified professionals across all states and territories to deliver a more consistent service. You'll have more choice in how you ask questions or seek support — whether by phone or online.

As part of this change, the personal information Cancer Council SA holds about you will be moved into a shared secure system managed by Cancer Council NSW, so when needed, Cancer Council teams across the country can provide you with timely and relevant support.

What is Cancer Connect?

Cancer Connect is the new name for our trusted 13 11 20 Information & Support Line. It's expanding into a broader, nationally-linked network that brings together Cancer Council's qualified professionals across every state and territory.

What's happening with my personal information?

The personal information Cancer Council SA holds about you will be moved into a shared system, securely managed by Cancer Council NSW. This means Cancer Council teams across the country can access it when needed to provide you with timely, relevant support.

This information will be used to improve the way in which we provide services to you, to allow for consistency across jurisdictions, and for the other purposes listed in our Privacy Policy and Cancer Council NSW’s Privacy Policy.

This is expected to be in place by September 2026, ahead of the national launch of Cancer Connect.

You can read the Cancer Council SA Privacy Policy here and Cancer Council NSW Privacy Policy here.

Will my information be secure?

What happens if I want to opt-out?

You are always in control of your sensitive information, and you can make this choice at any time, both before and after the transfer occurs.
