Do you have an intellectual disability, or do you support someone with intellectual disability and cancer? We want to hear from you.
Flinders University and Cancer Council SA want to make cancer care better for people with intellectual disability. This research is Australia-wide.
Who we’re looking for
- Adults (18 and older) with intellectual disability.
- Family or friends of an adult with intellectual disability.
- Disability service providers who support adults with intellectual disability.
- Health professionals who have supported an adult with intellectual disability.
What’s involved
We are inviting people to take part in co-production workshops.
These workshops will help create resources to support care for people with intellectual disability.
There will be 4 different groups:
- People with intellectual disability.
- Family and friends of people with intellectual disability.
- Disability service providers.
- Health professionals.
Information
- There will be 8 to 10 people in each group.
- Join up to five 2-hour workshops (come to as many as you can).
- Join in person or online (Microsoft Teams).
- Use drawing or other ways to share your thoughts.
- You can bring a friend or support person.
- Receive a $100 voucher for each workshop you go to.
- You can also get help with your travel expenses (if you are in South Australia only).
