Here are some of the top ways you can choose to support Cancer Council SA in April and May.

A group of six volunteers, all of different ages and genders, stand in front of a purple Cancer Council SA marquee

Attend an event, choose to volunteer, help build cancer awareness in your community or support a corporate partner that supports us.

There are many opportunities to get involved in a way that works best for you.

Australia’s Biggest Morning Tea

Throughout May, individuals and community groups across South Australia will be hosting their own Australia’s Biggest Morning Tea event.

These morning teas are an amazing way to bring your family, friends, sports clubs or workplaces together for a cuppa, some tasty snacks and raise vital funds to help support South Australians facing cancer.

Australia’s Biggest Morning Tea gives people an opportunity to connect and share how cancer has affected them or someone close to them.

Relay For Life

The next 2026 Relay For Life event will be held at Immanuel College, Novar Gardens, on 2–3 May.

Each year, communities around South Australia come together to celebrate cancer survivors, remember loved ones, and take strides against cancer through Relay For Life.

Relay For Life is one of the largest fundraising events in the country, and involves teams working together to walk laps for 18 hours and reflect on how cancer has impacted their lives.

It is a meaningful way to connect with members of your local community and help fund cancer prevention programs, research and support services.
Find a Relay For Life event near you.

World No Tobacco Day

World No Tobacco Day, which lands on Sunday 31 May, is an opportunity to inspire and educate the public on the risks associated with smoking and vaping.

Cancer Council SA offers grants up to $5,000 to community service organisations that are interested in supporting their network to quit smoking and vaping.

These grants can cover staff training and support creating smoke-free environments, as well as tailored resources and nicotine replacement therapy medications to assist people on the journey to quit.

Volunteer

If you don’t want to host your own event or participate in a fundraiser, donating your time and life experiences by volunteering can make a significant difference in the lives of people facing cancer.
