The season for getting together with friends (or hosting a Cancer Council SA fundraiser like Girls’ Night In!), is just around the corner, and our team of experts are here to help with this healthy, quick and beautiful platter guide that is sure to please everyone! Let’s show you how.

The secret to building a show-stopping and healthy platter is to load it up with a rainbow of colourful and nutrient-rich fruits and veggies, fill in the gaps with grainy or seeded crackers and add in some lighter, yet filling, protein options.

Fruits and vegetables

  • Carrot, celery and capsicum, chopped into sticks.
  • Baby cucumbers, sliced in halves.
  • Mixed cherry tomatoes, served whole.
  • Marinated green or kalamata olives, served in a mini bowl.
  • Homemade roasted sweet potato and red skinned potato fries, served in a mini bowl.
  • Whole dried apricots.
  • Green or red grapes, in bunches.
  • Berries e.g. blueberries, strawberries, blackberries, raspberries.
  • Melon e.g. watermelon, rockmelon or honeydew, sliced into wedges.
  • Passionfruit or pomegranate, sliced in halves.

Wholegrains

  • Grainy crackers.
